Led by the Solutions Delivery Officer, the SDO is our new, next gen Project Management Office (PMO) which oversees project intake, business analysis, project management, quality assurance, and user adoption to ensure timely, high-quality, effective deliverables that align with our business objectives. The Technology Adoption and User Engagement Manager will report to the Solutions Delivery Officer and work closely with their colleagues within the SDO to maximize the agency's use of IT and data to reduce routine work, improve productivity, boost employee job satisfaction, and improve customer outcomes. Operations Coordinator

The NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.  The Customer Operations Division has oversight of the Department of Finance business centers, City Registerâs Office, and the Land Records, Adjudication, and Collections divisions. Customer Operations is charged with the processing of tax payments, parking violations payments, and all other charges collected by DOF. The division is also responsible for recording property transfers, adjudicating parking, and camera violations, and managing the full life cycle of the departmentâs enforcement activities related to unpaid business and excise taxes, parking fines, and Environmental Control Board summonses.  The Adjudication Division is responsible for conducting hearings on all parking and camera violations issued in New York City. It hosts in-person hearings in the business centers and conducts hearings by mail, web, and mobile app. In addition, the judges hear appeals of parking ticket determinations, and a special unit for Commercial Adjudications conducts hearings and appeals on tickets issued to commercial vehicles.  An Operations Coordinator is needed in the Consolidated Adjudications Unit (CAU) of the DOF's Customer Operations/Adjudications Division to support the Supervisor and the unit.  The CAU is available for those brokers and representatives who are representing corporations and companies with more than 10 summonses, contest their summonses.  The CAU adjudicates approximately 800,000 summonses per year.    The unit is charged with implementing the Mayor's vision of virtual hearings. This process would provide customers with the option to request a virtual hearing and avoid the need to come into the City for a hearing. This is an ongoing project which involves training for all staff and Administrative Law Judges alike on how to use a new virtual system.  The Operations Coordinator will be expected to:  â¢	Along with the Supervisor, oversee projects regarding the automation of CAU, working closely with DOF's technology department and vendors. â¢	Assist unit employees, vendors, brokers and their representatives, and the public regarding technical issues pertaining to CAU document retrieval and hearings. â¢	Maintain a comprehensive records management system. â¢	Ensure all Electronic Case Folders (ECF's) issues are addressed.  â¢	Ensure operational workflow is constant and the possibility of any backlog is addressed immediately. â¢	Ensures files are kept up-to-date and easy to retrieve.  â¢	Work closely with the Supervisor to monitor, evaluate, and analyze operational systems for quality control.   â¢	Special projects and assignments as instructed.

Business Centers are located in each of the five boroughs where in-person hearings and hearings by mail and web are conducted.   The Adjudications Division seeks to appoint Hearing Officers to adjudicate parking tickets. The selected candidates will report to the Adjudication Division and may be assigned to any of the Business Centers located in the five boroughs. Selected candidates will be required to work three days a week and be available to work any day Monday through Friday.   Candidates are expected to successfully complete a training course.    Candidates must be interviewed and approved by the NYC Department of Investigation (DOI).
